3 weeks out of 12 week NZIFBB bikini body challenge

This week is one of my better weeks. I am eating less carbs but feeling ok. I am still able to lift some heavy weights as I time my small amount of carbs around when I do weights. I feel a little tired but I have early nights to make sure I can work well at work.

 

Most days I'm up before 6am to do my fasted cardio and then I do weights in the afternoon and then I do HIIT training session before I go home. I also have to fit in food prep and learning my posing routine. I don't know how some women and men do it with a family to look after but they do.

 

I feel like a hamster on the wheel and it's Groundhog Day but everyday my body changes so everyday I get up and mentally prepare myself for a day of athlete training and pushing my body to the limits.

 

I eat clean and my last cheat meal on my birthday was a small bowl of cereal because cereal is sweet and I crave sweets on this prep. 

 

I keep getting asked why I do competitions so here is is:

 

1. I want to see how far I can change my body and improve on how I look. 

2. I like to see if mentally and physically I am tough enough to make it on stage. 

3. I do it for me. 

4. I do it because as a Personal Trainer I owe it to myself to be the best I can be in fitness.
